What outcall massage is
Outcall massage (urut panggilan) is massage done at a client's home, office or hotel room. It's commonly used for postnatal urut, older people and anyone who finds it hard to travel.
Where the rules stand
Council licences for massage centres attach to a fixed premises. We found no primary source setting out a specific licensing regime for home massage. Practitioners in areas recognised under the Traditional and Complementary Medicine Act 2016, such as Traditional Malay Medicine, still need to be registered wherever they practise.
Reported risks
News reports link some "outcall" offers on TikTok and WhatsApp to vice and immigration offences. For example, Malay Mail reported in August 2025 that raids in Ipoh detained foreign women, some of whom offered outcall services arranged through social media.
Choosing a home-visit service safely
- Pick a business with a premises or company registration you can check, not just a WhatsApp number.
- Avoid adverts with photo catalogues of therapists or choices by nationality.
- For traditional urut as treatment, ask for the practitioner's T&CM registration certificate.
- Agree the price, length and type of massage in writing before the therapist arrives.
- Let someone else know about the appointment, especially at a hotel.
Why we don't list outcall providers
We only list premises with a fixed address we can verify. Outcall providers without premises are hard to check, and some online adverts are linked to the offences above. Some massage centres in our directory may offer home visits; ask them directly.
